This isn't just a tour, it's a rite of passage, an epic challenge that rewards you with one of the most breathtaking views on the planet. It's one of those experiences you simply have to live at least once in your life. As your companion and guide, I'll be with you every step of the way, sharing stories about the local geology, flora, and fauna, and most importantly, ensuring your experience is safe, memorable, and enriching. The adventure begins with a gradual climb through the beautiful Ascencio Valley. From there, the forests of lengas and coigüe trees welcome us as we keep hiking toward the most challenging part: the moraine, a rocky field that will test us. With my help, we'll overcome this section to reach the majestic viewpoint and witness the intense turquoise color of the lagoon at the base of the towers.

06:00 AM

Private pick-up and transfer to the National Park.

Depart from your accommodation in Puerto Natales in a private 4x4. This early start allows us to enter the park as the sun rises, often providing spectacular views of the Sarmiento and Nordenskjöld lakes before the crowds arrive.

07:45 AM

Begin the ascent from Welcome Center.

After a brief gear check and safety talk, we begin the ascent. The first hour involves a steady climb through the Ascencio Valley, gaining altitude quickly to reach the first panoramic viewpoints.

09:00 AM

Paso de los Vientos (Windy Pass)

We reach the highest point of the first section. From here, you can see the river winding below and the dramatic mountain relief. We then follow a gentle descent toward Refugio Chileno.

10:30 AM

The Lenga Forest

We enter a stretch of ancient deciduous forest. This part of the trail is more shaded and level, offering a moment of "active recovery" before the final push.

11:30 AM

The Moraine (The Final Challenge)

This is the most demanding part of the day. For about 45 minutes, we navigate a steep trail over massive glacial boulders. Your guide will manage the pace to ensure everyone reaches the top safely.

12:15 PM

Arrival at Base of the Towers

Victory. We reach the glacial lagoon with the three granite monoliths towering 2,800 meters above us. We’ll enjoy a well-earned gourmet box lunch and plenty of time for photography.

Beginning the Descent

We start our trek back down the valley. The early start pays off here, as we descend just as the largest groups of hikers are still making their way up.

Return to the Vehicle

After finishing the trail at Sector Central, we board our private transport for the journey back.

Arrival in Puerto Natales

Drop-off at your hotel, giving you plenty of time to enjoy a relaxing dinner and reflect on the day’s achievement.

Frequently asked questions

This is a high-intensity hike. The round-trip distance is approximately 22 km (13.6 miles) with a vertical gain of 1200+ meters (3,780+ feet). The terrain includes dirt trails, forest paths, and a final steep climb over a massive rock moraine. A good level of physical fitness and previous experience walking on uneven terrain are required.

Cancellation policy

More than 7 days notice: Full refund (minus transaction/banking fees).
Between 7 days and 48 hours: The deposit is non-refundable but can be rescheduled subject to availability.
Less than 48 hours or "No Show": No refund will be issued, as logistics and staff are already committed.
