The O Circuit is the definitive wilderness pilgrimage in Patagonia. While the W Trek offers the highlights, the "O" offers the soul of the park. This 130 km (80-mile) loop circumnavigates the entire Paine Massif, taking you into the remote northern reaches where the crowds disappear and the silence of the Southern Ice Field takes over.

This is a private guided experience designed for those who demand both a physical challenge and seamless logistics. We navigate the complexities of campsite permits and mountain nutrition so you can focus on the trail. Frequently asked questions

The O Circuit is significantly more challenging than the W Trek. It is nearly double the distance (130 km vs. 80 km) and includes the John Gardner Pass, which involves a steep 1,200-meter climb and potentially high winds. While the W Trek can be done by active beginners, the O Circuit is recommended for hikers with good physical conditioning and experience in multi-day trekking.

Cancellation policy

35% Deposit: payable upon reservation confirmation. It is non-refundable under any circumstances.

65% Balance: payable 75 days prior to departure. If you cancel before this deadline, the balance will be fully refunded. If you cancel after the balance has been paid, no refund will be issued.

Force Majeure Cancellation (park closure by CONAF, extreme weather conditions, or other causes beyond the control of CAG Travel): rescheduling will be offered on an alternative available date within the same season. If rescheduling is not possible, the 65% balance will be refunded provided it has not been used by suppliers, and the 35% deposit will be refunded to the extent that CAG Travel is able to recover funds from suppliers. Any costs already incurred and non-recoverable from campsites and operational providers will be deducted from the refund. It is strongly recommended that the client purchase travel insurance that covers cancellations due to external causes.

We had planned to trek the O/W circuit in TDP for a year. Ten days before we were set to go we were informed that the O circuit was closed until Jan 1st and that a mountain guide was now requires. We scrambled to adjust our schedule and find a guide. Guides were in high demand because of the changing regulations! Additionally, we had unique requirements because we were planning to move at a fast pace skipping some camps along the circuit. Chile Adventure Guides came to the rescue and was able to locate a guide for us. Our guide’s name was Marina and she was terrific! She was in great shape and rose to the challenge. Her english as very good and she was an encyclopedia of knowledge about the features of the park - From the glaciers and mountain formations to the local flora and fauna. We learned so much and having a guide turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Marina is a highly capable friendly, and knowledgeable guide and we would hire her again with no hesitation our next visit to the park. Ten stars !!!
